We conducted two surveys printed in Island Angler (1990 & 1997) as well as a direct mail survey to our subscribers. Here are some conclusions.

bullet 93% of our readers are male; 54% are between the ages of 35 and 54; 22% are 20 to 34 years old.
bullet On average our readers fish 41 days per year.
bullet 58% prefer to go fishing with friends; 38% prefer fishing alone; and 24% prefer fishing with family.

Since the first issue in 1989 we have minimized the waste factor of non-pick ups to less than 5%. In addition to free drop point distribution, we have hundreds of paid subscribers in several countries.

The Fine Print

ADVERTISING SPACE AUTHORIZATION 
1. Advertiser to provide copy material, photography or artwork, illustration. There is no cost to advertiser for production
or editing or writing of copy. Extra artwork, alterations, logos, etc, as necessary will be charged to advertiser at cost.
2. Advertising material to be supplied by advertiser before deadline.
3. The publisher reserves the right to edit copy material for best quality appearance of page.
4. Balance of payment is due upon receipt of invoice.
5. The publisher shall not be responsible or liable for delays in publication or delivery for
distribution due to causes beyond our control.
6. The publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertising for any reason at any time.
7. The advertiser assumes liability for advertising content and assumes responsibility for any claims arising
against the publisher resulting from advertising.
8. Publisher does not guarantee insertion of any particular advertisement on a specified date, or at all, although every effort
will be made to meet the wishes of the advertiser; further, the publisher does not accept liability for any loss or damage
caused by error or inaccuracy in printing of an advertisement beyond the monetary value of the advertising space actually
occupied by the portion of the advertisement in which the error occurred. The publisher cannot be responsible for errors
after the first day of publication of any advertisement. Notice of errors must be brought to attention of Advertising
Department. Publisher accepts no liability for loss/damage of inserts caused by circumstances beyond our control.
9. All balances forward will be charged at the rate of 24 per cent compounded annually.
10. Advertising contracts terminated pre-maturely by advertiser will be adjusted according to current advertising rate sheet.

11. Island Angler will always endeavor to give fair value to advertisers.
